Irv Rosenfeld’s Medical Marijuana Testimony

Posted September 12, 2008

Irv Rosenfeld has been receiving 300 joints per month (10 ounces to be exact) since 1983 from the federal government. This is the same government that insists there is no medicinal value for cannabis and proclaims it’s a schedule one drug.

You’re probably wondering how this could be possible. Well, the FDA had a program going called the Investigational New Drug program (IND) beginning on May 10th, 1978. To get on the list was not easy and required a hearing with the FDA to be accepted. However, when George Herbert Walker Bush took office it was shut down in 1992. The patients who were already on the list were grandfathered in and the remaining members still receive their medical cannabis to this day.

Irv recently spoke out in favor of medical marijuana in a Michigan courtroom and it’s easily some of the best evidence for medical cannabis decriminalization:

Irv Rosenfeld has a rare bone disease called multiple congenital cartilaginous exostoses, which he explains about in the video above. He is a stockbroker who handles millions of dollars on a daily basis and has also smoked over 3,000 ounces of pot.
